Nikki Petersen is a French-American film director and creative producer known for emotionally rich storytelling and celebrated work with leading cultural figures. Born in the United States and based in Paris, she bridges American directness with European cinematic elegance, crafting films that blend vérité intimacy with a couture-level visual language.

Her work spans documentaries, fiction, celebrity portraiture, and branded cinema for Vogue, YSL, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Lancôme, CNN, Google Arts & Culture, and YouTube, where she previously served as a Production and Development Executive. Her portfolio includes hundreds of films, from frontline coverage of the 2014 Charlie Hebdo attacks to luxury fashion narratives, and she has directed icons such as Natalie Portman, Nicole Kidman, Uma Thurman, Emma Stone, and Susan Sarandon.

At Vogue, Petersen is a defining creative voice, directing major series including Getting Ready With and In the Bag. Her documentary In Honor of Karl premiered at the 2023 Met Gala, and she has created acclaimed profiles for Glamour’s Women of the Year and cinematic collaborations with the cast of Emily in Paris.
